Animal Charity of Ohio receives no local or state funding for our daily operations. Every meal served, every medical procedure performed, every cruelty investigation completed, every adoption celebrated, and every family we help is made possible through donations from people who believe every animal deserves compassion and care.
That is why we created the One Million Acts of Hope Campaign.
Our goal is simple:
If one million people each give just $1, together we can raise $1 million to continue providing lifesaving services for the animals and families who depend on us.
With an operating budget of $1.9 Million this year, this helps to economically aid our mission to help protect, care, and home animals from abusive and neglectful situations.

Preventing unwanted litters is one of the most effective ways to reduce animal suffering before it begins.
Campaign funding will allow Animal Charity of Ohio to provide approximately 1,000 spay and neuter surgeries in Mahoning County, improving animal health while helping reduce pet overpopulation throughout our area.

Charlie's W.I.S.H.
Campaign Investment: $50,000
Charlie's W.I.S.H. provides temporary care for Mahoning County residents' pets when their owners experience medical emergencies or unexpected hardships.
This funding will allow us to expand the program and assist more families during difficult times, ensuring beloved pets remain safe until they can return home.
Vets With Pets
Campaign Investment: $50,000
For many veterans, a pet is more than a companion - they're family.
Campaign funding will help veterans in Mahoning County access temporary pet care and support services during hospitalization, treatment, or other life challenges, ensuring no veteran has to choose between receiving help and protecting the pet they love.
Community Pet Pantry
Campaign Investment: $25,000
Temporary financial hardship should never mean losing a beloved pet.
Funding will provide pet food and essential supplies to local Mahoning County families facing short-term financial challenges, helping keep pets healthy, loved, and at home.
