A thrift store could create a new, sustainable source of income for Animal Charity of Ohio while giving our community another way to support the animals we serve.

At our recent press conference, we announced an exciting first step toward making this vision a reality.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of the Italian Scholarship League, we are already halfway to our $60,000 goal for the startup costs of the future thrift store.
​
But we still have $30,000 to go.
WHY A THRIFT STORE?
Building a More Sustainable Future
Animal Charity of Ohio has faced significant financial challenges while continuing to care for animals and serve our community. We have seen a 28% increase in the number of animals coming through our doors this year. More animals means more food, more medical care, more supplies, and more resources needed every day.

Operating without local or state funding has become unsustainable. We have applied, asked and advocated for funding, but have not been awarded local or state support. We rely solely on donations, fundraisers and the support of our community.
​
The thrift store is a part of our effort to create a more sustainable source of ongoing revenue.
​
Instead of relying solely on emergency fundraising when expenses arise, we want to build something that can generate support for Animal Charity year-round.
